Based on form, literary criticism can be divided into: (1) theoretical criticism, and (2) criticism of the practice.
Based on the implementation of literary criticism can be divided into: (1) inductive criticism, (2) judicial criticism, and (3) impressionistic criticism.
Based on the orientation of the literary, literary criticism can be divided into: (1) mimetic criticism, (2) of expressive criticism, (3) pragmatic critique, and (4) objective criticism.
Based on the critics and the variety of writing, literary criticism can be divided into: (1) academic criticism, and (2) non-academic criticism.
